This is a very barebones proof of concept for an adventure sandbox game created during the pirate software game jam. Your objective is simple, collect the keys, unlock the gate and complete the level/escape.

There are a few rules for how enemies behave, what players can do and how they react to others. You can try to utilize different approaches (there are maybe 2 or 3) to complete the objective.

Everything is incredibly simple as all of the functionality for every single element was created from  scratch as part of a longer term effort.

The main premise of this concept was to create a scene with set rules and see if there can be interesting outcomes based off of those rules.

In a way it succeeds in outlining the sheer depth of effort and mechanics required to reach that point. On the contrary it fails to generate interesting outcomes, as the rules are incredibly simple and the potential was restricted by time and how well I can implement them.
